How do you wire a Ge fan motor that has 3 wires going to it? (White, Black, Green)?

The white wire goes to an external capacitor that has a red wire going into the motor. The other two wires (black & green) go directly into the motor. Which wires are positive & negative?

Is it OK to recycle white paper in the newspaper recycling bin?

If not, where should I recycle it?. I do not have access to an office recycling program any longer. I just do not want to throw it away.
