Douglas DC-8 cockpit takeoff video w/subtitles Transcontinental Airlines 1998

In early 1998, I was flying for Transcontinental Airlines as First Officer on the DC-8. This video depicts a flight from Caracas, Venezuela to Guatemala City, with no cargo on board. The flight was in N183SK, a DC-8-62, which was later destroyed in a landing accident in Kinshasa, Zaire (it was no longer flying for Transcon at that time). Unfortunately, the video cuts off just before landing (camera battery died). This is what it was like flying for a non-sched cargo operator back then…fun, but not too glamorous. This flight was the 2nd leg of a trip from MIA – CCS – GUA – MIA, with no crew rest (international duty time regs). Enjoy!
