What Are Hybrid Cars And Why Should We Use Them?

August 12, 2010 by

A Hybrid car is one that is green and clean, hence not only protecting the environment but also your wallet by efficient fuel consumption.  Hybrid cars actually combine two kinds of energy components for operation. One is petrol and the other electricity, hence making the vehicle such that it is hyperactive low emission, and quiet as well as cheap to run.

The first and foremost advantage of a hybrid car is associated with the protection of the environment, as hybrid cars have very low emissions and hence not having the greenhouse effect. The cost of fuel is less, and the resale value of hybrid cars is very good, hence making the car financially very feasible.

There are two main types coming in hybrid cars. One is the Parallel and the other Series. In the parallel hybrid, the petrol and electric motor of the car have the ability to power the transmission at the same time. However, in series hybrid, the petrol engine of the car doesn’t directly power the transmission. Instead, there is the generator that charges the batteries or the electric motor, which actually perform the transmission.

There are cars that are Full hybrid and there are Assist hybrids as well. The former ones can run on the engine alone and can run on the batteries or both, whereas, assist hybrids are the ones that possess a small gasoline engine that provides them with the primary power. Some of the cars made by Honda and Toyota are the best known among hybrids.

There are certain features in a hybrid vehicle that are especially built and help in better performance of the car, so that it can be fuel-efficient. In times like these when fuel costs are high, hybrid cars can be very useful. They may be a little expensive as compared to the non-hybrid ones, but they are worth it, as they save a lot on fuel as well as environment.

Hybrid cars have the ability to drive up to sixty miles per gallon, as opposed to the normal vehicle that drives twenty two to twenty eight miles a gallon. Slow and smooth acceleration of a hybrid car can help you save the gas. There are ways of handling a hybrid car that can actually help you in increasing the fuel efficiency of the vehicle.

The main advantage of a hybrid car is that it uses a lot less fuel to start with and when there is less fuel, there would ultimately be lesser emissions, hence protecting the environment from the ever-increasing pollution, as individual effort becomes collective effort for the betterment of the Earth.

Hybrid cars started in 1999. It was when Honda introduced its first hybrid car. With more awareness about the environment with the passage of time, the demand for the hybrids has been increasing over the passage of years. People who want to save the environment as well as costs are very likely to buy hybrid cars.

Hydrogen water car how to plans, reveal that engines can be run on water. Though researchers and scientists have proved that water can be used easily to run vehicles and fuel can be done away with, the governments of the nations for their political interests have not made the knowledge known to the general public. The technology has not been lauded and publicized. This is so because the use of water as fuel will adversely affect the oil producing countries.

It is a known fact that the countries that export oil are among the richest and most powerful in the world. It is but natural that world leaders would suppress this knowledge of hydrogen water car how to plans out of fear that the use of water as fuel would reduce the demand for oil and have a negative impact on the oil producing countries. So people are forced to use oil, the prices of which keep increasing at an alarmingly rate.

What is Going Green And Why Should We do it

Some people are clueless about the environment. They think that they can be pigs and leave trash everywhere.  Of course they are not worried about ground water, it will take care of itself.  However, these are important things that you need to think about.  While the environment has been around forever in the past, we need to learn to take care of it for the future.

One of the easiest ways you can go green is by using green products.  This could be anything from green cleaning products to green towels in your home.  When I say “green” I do not mean the color green.  I simply mean environmentally friendly.  This materials are made from components that will not harm the environment.  For example, an environmentally friendly towel could be made from bamboo instead of cotton.

Another important thing to remember when you are going green is that you need to stick with it.  While going green even one week is great, the more you do it, the more it helps the environment!  Making your home, office or business a place for the environment can seem hard at first.  However, after you get used to the routine, you can make changes easily and stick to them.

Make just one small change each time you want to make a difference.  Add a paper recycling bin to your office.  Use green cleaning products instead of chemically based products.  Whatever contribution you can make will help the environment!

This article is all about the enviroment and what things to do to save it.

Don?T Care About The Environment ? Other Reasons You Should Buy Eco

July 24, 2010 by

There are a small percentage of people that are often bemoaning the environmental cause. Some often claim global warming is not happening; or don’t care about it; or find that life is difficult enough without having to worry about the planet.

However, there is another reason why, even if you are not interested in environmental issues, why you should shop for eco friendly products – Money!

Eco friendly and money saving often go hand-in-hand and one of the best ways of trying to reduce household expenditure is to think eco.

Let me explain. One of the largest bills most householders face is their quarterly heating bill. However, by buying eco products like radiator panels, reflective foil and automatic radiator valves you can boost the heating systems in your home and reduce your quarterly expenditure too.

And the same goes for other areas of life too. If you drive an efficient car in an efficient manner not only will you be producing less pollution but your petrol or diesel in the tank will last a lot longer.

And in almost any area where you use energy there is an eco friendly solution that not only cuts down on carbon emissions but also saves money. Solar power chargers for instance will allow you to recharge your mobile phone and even a laptop with a solar powered laptop charger.

So if saving the planet is not on your agenda, saving money might be so you should look to eco friendly products as a method of saving money and then the rest of us can benefit from a cleaner, better environment.

What Every Golfer Should Know About Home Putting Greens

What Every Golfer Should Know About Home Putting Greens

How do you say goodbye to 3 and 4 putts? Practice, practice,
practice. The key to improving your short game lies in putting
practice. But where?

You can practice conveniently on your own home putting green and
it may even increase the value of your home. If you’re thinking
about installing a putting green, there are several factors to
take into consideration.

Will your putting green be portable?

Roll out greens come in many sizes. Popular sizes are 2′ x 6′,
3′ x 12′ to 6′ x 15′. Some feature a regulation cup, while
others have a smaller cup than regulation size, which will hone
your targetting. Some feature a ball return.

Will you install your green inside or outside?

Indoors, there are small practice greens, rollout greens and
larger indoor greens. Large indoor greens can be as large as 12′
x 30′. Outdoor greens can be as large as you want.

How much do you want to spend?

Roll-out greens can be found in a wide range of prices from $20
to $300. Larger indoor greens can cost as much as $700. When you
start looking at outdoor putting greens, you are talking about
costs per square foot for all of the materials – the green
material and the base layers.

What material will your green be made of?

Indoor greens are synthetic of course. When you’re considering
outdoor putting greens, you have a choice of materials. Your
choice is natural grass or an artificial turf.

At first glance, you may think all-natural grass might be best.
Think again though. If you choose grass, you will need to spend
time maintaining the green. The question is, would you rather be
mowing, watering, feeding and weeding OR putting? Since most
golfers choose putting, let’s talk about artificial greens.

Artificial outdoor putting greens

With an artificial putting green, maintenance is minimal which
means more time to putt. The synthetic fibers are manufactured
to resist fading and matting.

There are two popular UV-treated materials: polypropylene turf
and nylon turf. Nylon turf is easier to maintain than
polyropylene turf. The fibers spring back so your ball has a
true roll to the cup. Nylon turf is also denser than
polypropylene turf.

Polypropylene turf needs sand fill to keep the fibers upright.
During installation, sand is spread across the top of the
polypropylene surface and brushed into the turf with a broom.
Since the sand can wear away, from time to time, you’ll need to
add more sand.

Outdoor putting greens also require a base of stone or concrete.
The cups are concreted into place. As for drainage, synthetic
turfs drain off the turf, not through it. Drainage needs to be
provided.

How fast will your outdoor green be?

Another decision you’ll make is regarding green speed. Stimp
measures how fast the green is. You can have your green speed
matched to your local courses or to a championship course. In
general, adding more sand to your synthetic green makes it
faster.

Will you Do-it-Yourself?

You can buy a putting green kit to install yourself. Many come
with video instructions. Depending on the size and design, you
may need help in installing the green.

Once your new putting green is installed, you can enjoy hours of
putting practice and improve your golf game. For a putting green

Driving range is generally more than 100 km

“Compared to traditional fuel vehicles, apart from the use of low-cost, zero-emission driving, low noise, energy efficiency, the advantages of diversification of energy sources, the electric car is also some bad points.” Quanzhou electrical Board official said, there are now electric cars a relatively short driving range, HP PAVILION DV6000 Battery technology was not mature enough, use lithium batteries are more expensive electric cars and other shortcomings.

According to reports, the current use of electric vehicles on the market after a single charge driving range is generally 100-300 km. However, this figure needs to maintain an appropriate speed, and has good battery conditioning system can be guaranteed, most electric vehicles in general traffic environment driving range of about 100-200 kilometers. “In addition to the relatively short driving range, the battery technology has not yet been a breakthrough.” Quanzhou Electric Power Bureau to give reporters the calculations: the current good performance of the battery charge and discharge times up to 1000 times, discharge 200 times per year basis, a battery life of typically 5 years. In addition, the existing quality and the battery still larger problem.

Quanzhou will build the first charge pile, people wonder maybe electric cars of the times coming. However, many people are most concerned about is the possibility of electric vehicles like electric bikes use the same power outlet for charging at home. According to the present information, Quanzhou Electric Power Bureau these people do not recommend this charge mode.

It is reported that electric automobile charging can be divided into slow charge and fast charge, slow charge and charging facilities, power size, the size of vehicle power, the time is different. BYD F3e these people to electric vehicles as an example, saying that the battery rated capacity of 120 Ah, and the average family of 4 kW power supply, electrical power at the same time ensure that other cases, less allowable charge current (about the highest in the 8-10 safety), electric vehicle charging time is very long. On the other hand, the electric vehicle battery charging and discharging the technical requirements are very high charge and discharge to ensure the safety and extend battery life and reliability, require special management system (BMS) on the battery system, charge and discharge process to monitor and management. “The family is not charged with such a socket technology.”

Electric vehicle charging facilities can be divided into AC and charging station charging pile into two categories. AC charging power generally do not pile more than 7 kilowatts, while the single charging station charging facilities power, 7 kW, 10 kW, 30 kW, 60 kilowatts in four grades.
