Whenever we get burned out with things in this world, we seek time to contemplate about ourselves, about life, about our purpose. But no matter how we find time for this we still end up frustrated because of things we cannot achieve or things that are lacking in our life. As they say man will never be contented. Innovations exist because of man’s hunger for material things. In exchange, the world we live in is gradually deteriorating. But come to think of it. Where are these resources that we use to produce the things we need coming from? From Mother Earth which God gave us to protect. Don’t you think it is time for us to save it from deterioration?
We need to take a stand, to take an action for us to sustain our sources of our basic needs. It’s not only for us but for the future generation. In our own simple ways we can contribute in saving our nature. For example, we can start green living and support go-green activities in our community.
Here are some simple ways on how you can help:
RECYCLE. Find a collecting center wherein you can bring all your recyclables.
CONSERVE WATER. It is wise to conserve water particularly this time of El Niño phenomenon which causing major rivers, dams and lakes to dry up.
BUY LOCAL FOOD. Support the local market at the same time you don’t have to travel and contribute to daily carbon emissions.
START BACKYARD COMPOSTING. It will not only lessen your solid wastes but it will be great for as organic fertilizer for growing your own plants and trees.
PLANT A TREE. One major reason of climate change is global deforestation. The solution is reforestation and by planting a tree or trees in your community you can contribute a lot.
PROMOTE GREEN ENERGY. Be the first to support green energy projects in your community. For example, biosphere gasification technology that converts solid wastes into green electricity without harming the environment.
USE NATURAL CLEANING PRODUCTS. For your housekeeping, you can use natural cleaning products like vinegar, lemon and baking soda.
Going green means saving our lives! It is never too late to make a difference.

Summer. It’s one of the most beautiful times of the year. It’s pretty, bright, and everyone just seems happier when it’s the summer. However, there are a few downsides. One would be sunburn (ouch!) and the other would be your electricity bill. In this heat, it can be deadly to not try and cool down your home. You can do so with fans or air conditioners or a mix of both. You could use the fans, facing in the opposite direction of the air conditioner, to pull the cool air from one room into another to cool down your whole house, if necessary. But the fact of the matter is, staying cool can mean quite a large utility bill. It doesn’t matter if you have a dinky little apartment or a quite sizable house.
However, you can save and be good to the earth too. It’s not nearly as hard as you might think. Here are a few ways that you, average Joe or extraordinary Moe can enjoy green energy savings:
When it comes to green energy savings, the first thing that might come to mind is a tiny little car that can only go thirty four miles per hour. But it isn’t quite like that…
There are also plenty of ways that you can save on your electric bills. One is to unplug all unused appliances in the house and to turn off your A/C and leave your windows open. (If you do this, it is recommended you use a window screen so that you don’t end up with millions of bugs inside your house.) However, there are other options that will lead to less bugs and also to more green energy savings. You won’t even have to turn anything off!
There is a certain type of system that not only reduces your energy usage, but also saves you on your electric bill. Not to mention that the small amount of waste from the system is bio safe and you’re able to dispose of it without affecting the environment.
However, there are a few things that you need to know about these systems.
For one, they work with both single and three phase appliances. This means that pretty much everything from your toaster to your computer to your washer can be more energy efficient. There are two sizes to choose from, both of which are relatively small.
This system also prevents a power surges that can potentially damage your appliances, up to certain amperages. Now, keep in mind that if you have a power surge that exceeds that amperage, you will have some issues. On the other hand, being protected at least partially is better than having ten different surge protectors.
You’re most likely wondering how exactly this system works…well, it’s easy! Pretty much, it saves all of the extra electricity and stores it. Then, instead of having to pull electricity from your company (so to speak), you simply pull it from that little box and voila! The lost electricity is lost no more and neither are your green energy savings!

A wiring harness is a combination of multiple wires used to transfer electric current or information signals. In a wiring harness, the wires are fixed together using specially designed clamps to make it easy and convenient to use them at their intended places.
The technology and design used in the manufacturing of wiring harnesses makes it a plug and play utility for end users. This means people who are responsible for the assembly of wiring harnesses do not need to know the intricacies. They just need to plug wire harnesses as suggested in user’s manual and they are done.
Advantage of a wiring loom
There are several advantages of using wiring harnesses. Some of the most important advantages of using wiring harness are as follows:
Ease of Use – Using a wiring harness is really very easy. One does not need technical expertise during the installation or assembly of wiring harness. Using the manuals provided with wiring harnesses anyone can fix them with ease.
Time Saving – Wiring harnesses and looms work on plug and play principles. They are ready to work after installation. They are designed in such a way that they fit exactly at the place for which they are made. Several industrial case studies illustrate that the introduction of wiring looms has reduced the time taken in the production of certain equipment (like automobiles, access control systems).
Less Clutter – Wiring harnesses combine several wires in a single string. They are usually fixed in an external coating of PVC tubes or non-flexible bundle. So, they need less space for installation and save a lot of space. It helps during maintenance as well as overhauling.
Safe and Secure Wiring – Wiring harness or loom has reduced the chances of accidents caused by loose wires. In sectors like automobile and aviation, wiring harnesses are used to reduce the chances of technical fault or short circuits. For example, in aircrafts and space shuttles several miles long electrical wiring are used. At such places, modern wire harnesses cut the chances of possible risk caused by vibrations, abrasions, and moisture.
In summary, wiring looms are needed for all industries nowadays. They have become industry standard in almost every sector where complex wiring is being used. To serve the immense demand of customized wiring harnesses, some wire loom manufacturing companies are offering their services to interested clients globally.

Saving Green And Going Green With Charter Buses

In a world that is challenged with the debate of global warming and general pollution to every part of the environment, going green with our choices is a collective initiative that must be taken regardless of what side of the arguments one may be on.
A great way to go green is to consider the use of charter buses verses a fleet of vans or cars to haul groups of people to destinations.
In a hypothetical situation, two groups are transporting 45 people each, from Grand Rapids Michigan to Chicago Illinois for a one night stay. Group A is renting three Ford 250 SuperDuty 15 passenger vans and group B is renting a Van Hool T2145 charter bus. The destination starting point is in Grand Rapids and the ending point is in Chicago, Illinois. These destinations are roughly 150 miles apart by taking the I-94 and the I-196.
With Group A and the three 15-passenger vans, they will have had to spend more money filling up the three 35 gallon gas tanks (which in most cases must be filled up before it is returned). Upon stopping at gas stations, it becomes a major temptation to exit the van, shop, use the restroom and generally waste unneeded time. The trip can also be taxing on the trip from policing activity in the back of the van, to navigating or keeping track of their convoy.
Although the environmental protection agency states that Gasoline creates 357 grams of carbon content per gallon, the carbon dioxide output is actually tripled in this case from the number of vans. Even a brand new 2010 F250 Ford 15 passenger van will only get between 15-19 mpg. The bigger the van is, the bigger the engine, and the more carbon created.
The average gas prices in Michigan are roughly $2.89 per gallon and can quickly rake up the expenses for the riders and trip coordinators.
Group B is taking the Van Hool T2145 bus which holds up to 56 people. It has a 231 gallon fuel tank (on average motor coaches get 392 (7 mpg x 56 passengers) passenger miles per gallon) which can provide a consistent non-stop trip. Every charter bus company will charge differently for their services but most of the time will factor in mileage, time of trip, type of bus and driver accommodations.
In comparison to the 2,421 grams of carbon content put out per mile from gasoline, most motor coaches will run off diesel fuel which gets about 2,778 grams of carbon content from a gallon of fuel used. In calculations from the round trip to Chicago from Grand Rapids, the three vans will have produced 158,257 grams of carbon content while the motor coach would have produced a mere 3416.94 grams of carbon content.
It’s highly recommended to weigh out the options of renting a motor coach verses the options of renting a fleet of vans. The American Bus Association reports that Motorcoaches reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 85%, can replace up to 55 cars driven by single drivers and even require 82% less fuel than hybrid vehicles (American Bus Association).
Going green usually is not the cost efficient choice, but in this case it is. Renting a motor coach over multiple vans can help prevent harmful toxins released into the atmosphere and help save money. Before groups book follow through with booking an entire trip, they should be requesting quotes from their local charter bus company to help make smarter economical and environmental transportation choices.

Four Fuel Saving Tips

Whether you drive a one thousand pound hybrid, or a six thousand pound SUV, you can always squeeze out a few extra miles per gallon. In the long run, this could save you hundreds of dollars per year if you do it correctly.
1. Slow down. One of the best things you can do to save bas is to stop going so fast. Fifty five miles per hour is the best speed for your gas mileage. This is what kills people when they commute to work. Everyone has this “ten miles per hour over the speed limit” mindset, which kills gas mileage. Make sure you stay to the right of all the traffic though, it will save a lot of headaches.
2. Tire pressure. Tires that are under-inflated are the most commonly over-looked reason of bad miles per gallon. You need to buy a good, reliable tire gauge that way you can check your tires at least once a month; or as often as possible. Remember, tires lose around 1 psi every month and the less amount of air in them, the more resistance you are getting while driving on the street.
3. Check the air filter. The air filter in your car is what feeds the air directly into your engine. If your air filter is dirty, you are hindering performance which could cause your mile per gallon rating to go down to a miserable level. Air filters are extremely easy to check and just as easy to change. To check if your air filter is ready to be changed. What you need to do is take it out of the car and hold it up to the sun light. If it restricts most of the sun light from coming through, it’s time for a new filter. If you are ready for a change, I suggest investing in a K & N air filter. This will save you a lot of head aches because these are permanent filters. All you have to do is clean them and they are ready to go again. Not only will this save you money, but the K & N filters also help you get one or two miles per gallon more; which saves you money on gas in the long run.
4. Accelerate slowly. Even though the guy in the Dodge Charger is revving his engine next to you and eyeballing the stop light, there is no need for you to race him. There is no point in accelerating quickly at a stop light because it wastes endless amounts of fuel. If you have a car with an automatic transmission, accelerate slow enough to where your transmission will shift you up into higher gears quickly.
If you drive a car with a manual transmission, shift early to keep the RPMs down but not low enough to where it would lug the engine. Keep an eye on the road for potential slowdowns because if you accelerate up to a spot where you could slow down and you need to brake hard then you’ve just wasted acceleration which means wasted gas.

Useful Fuel Saving Tips to Improve Gas Mileage
September 6, 2010 by admin
With oil prices reaching record prices, saving gas is now more important than ever before. You don’t have to throw away your car in favor of a bicycle if you follow these simple fuel saving tips to improve your gas mileage.
Keep That Tank Full:
Some people may wince at the idea of paying top dollar for a full tank of gas, but you actually save a lot more gasoline if you spare the extra money to load a full tank. A full tank means that you take less trips to a gas station. Many late-model cars also operate more efficiently with a full tank of gas. While you may end up saving pennies for every gas station trip, the value all adds up per gallon.
Maintain Your Engine:
Old and dirty engines use up more fuel than clean engines. A lot of fuel is lost and wasted because of the debris that clogs up the engine. Excess heat can also contribute to fuel inefficiency, because the substances in gasoline can decompose because of high temperatures. If your engine is caked with a lot of dirt and debris, you need to pour on some engine degreaser to loosen up and remove the dirt and debris baked into the engine block.
Don’t Floor The Pedal:
Having a heavy foot on the accelerator will waste a lot of fuel. Unless you drive an old car and you have to floor the gas pedal to get a response, it’s best to keep a light foot on the accelerator. There are times that you need to floor the gas pedal, especially if you’re moving out of a sharp curve. The trick is to keep very light pressure on the gas pedal, just enough to feed a steady amount of fuel to the engine. Only push the pedal to the metal when you need it.
Take Advantage of Water for Fuel Technology:
Using hybrid water technology is simply operating your vehicle using gas and water as a source of fuel. This can be done by using a device that coverts water to energy with the help of your car battery. The car battery acts as a conductor that electrolyze the water that produces a gas called “HHO” which then produces the energy to operate your car. You can improve fuel efficiency by 50% using this type of technology.
