Buy a Hybrid Car: Why You Need to

For the past years, people going out to buy a hybrid car are increasing. Considering the many reasons for the decision, this buying trend is not surprising. Still, there are many who believe that the technology is actually too expensive to invest in and that hybrid cars are just not powerful or spacious enough for their needs. So when is it really the right time to invest in a hybrid car?
The Price Of Gas
Gas fuels almost everything that moves. We all know we need it. But we also know that it is fast becoming a depleted resource. Personal vehicles these days can consume up to 140 billion gallons of gas and diesel fuel in a year and these numbers don’t seem like they are falling at all.
Gas prices, contrary to its availability, is always increasing, though. This should be the cause of concern for anybody who owns a gas-powered vehicle. This is one of the signs that should trigger the notion that more people should buy into the idea of hybrid cars.
]]>
Emissions And The Environment
So your current car is not much of a smoke belcher. This is not enough of an argument to go against the fact that there are dangerous emissions that are released as your car burns the fuel it needs to move. To buy a hybrid car means that you will be making a world of difference especially with the way your driving is affecting the air around you.
Hybrid car emissions promise zero carbon monoxide emissions. This means that you can start driving around without worrying at all what your car is contributing to the pollution situation of the world. This is due in part by hybrid cars running on less gas and more electricity. This is another reason why you should really think about investing in a hybrid vehicle.
Purchase Incentives
In most cases, purchasing a hybrid car will generally means great savings for you in the future. A number of incentives offered by the government are another reason why more people should purchase hybrids.
A new incentive for hybrid car users came in 2006 in the form of full-dollar tax credit. This made it even more valuable for car buyers to buy hybrids when compared to the reductions of taxable income when purchasing regular cars. More specifically, buyers who purchased, for example, a Toyota or Lexus hybrid before October 1 2006 qualified for a 100 percent tax credit. Those who bought Toyota hybrids after that date received a tax credit equal to 50 percent of the amount that they spent.
The biggest reason to get into the hybrid trend really is that it is a life-changing experience in more ways than one. You not only get to contribute to positive changes in the worlds environment, but you also get the privilege of driving cars straight of the future with technologies that make it more convenient for everyday transport. Still not convinced? Buy a hybrid car and you’ll see what it means to own one.

Article Source: http://www.articlesbase.com/ – Reasons Why you Need to Renew your Green Card
A permanent resident is the one who is granted authorization to live and work permanently in the United States. As a proof of the permanent resident status the individual is given an identification or an authorization card which is commonly called as Green Card.
A Green Card is said to be valid for ten years and must be renewed before the expiration date. Certain green cards will not have an expiration date. Although these green cards do not have an expiration date, the law requires all cards to be updated to the new version. The latest green cards have an expiration date and are required to be renewed every ten years as this will make the USCIS to improve the card with additional features like updating the photographs to avoid fraud.
If the Green Card is obtained through marriage to a US Citizen or a permanent resident, it is called as Conditional Green Card. The Conditional Green Card is valid for two years and must be renewed before the conditional resident status expires. To remove the conditions on the green card the form I 751 is used.
How to renew your green card
Permanent Residents whose Green Cards have already expired or will expire shortly must renew the green card. If one fails to renew the Green Card he may experience difficulties in employment, be barred from reentry into United States until a new card is obtained, restricted from other benefits, and is said to be as Out of Status. Although the person with an expired green card will not lose his permanent residence status, he is required by the law to hold a valid green card.
Reasons to Renew Green Card:
An individual must adopt the green card renewal process , if
• the green card was valid for 10 years and is expiring or has expired
• he/she has been a permanent resident of the United States and now taken up Commuter status;
• he/she has been in a Commuter status and now taking up residence in the U.S.;
• the status has been converted automatically to a permanent resident status;
• he/she has an old edition of the card;
Green Card Renewal process:
To renew the green card the form I90 ( Application to Replace / Renew Green Card) must be filed by the applicant. The completed applications must be sent to USCIS along with the supporting documents and relevant fees.
Every green card renewal application must be included with the required supporting documents such as,
Photocopies of the front and back of the Expired or Expiring Green Card
Personal Identification document such as a State Driver’s license card or a valid passport
Once the application for green card renewal has been received by the USCIS, they will check if all the required evidence provided are correct and complete. USCIS may then request for more information and might require the applicants to appear for an interview . If the Green Card Renewal application is approved, the new Green Card will be mailed to the applicant. If the application is denied, USICS will send in writing the reason for rejection of the application.

All you need to know about Artificial Putting Greens
October 16, 2010 by admin
Filed under Going Green
Let’s look at more detail the types of putting green turf available on the market. The advent of nylon turfs gives you the option of two turf choices, polypropylene or nylon. Polypropylene is good if you wish to pitch or chip onto the greens from say 100 yards or less. The ball sticks to the green better on Polypropylene greens than it would on nylon green.
Building and installing putting green
To install your artificial putting green in your garden you will require: artificial turf, gravel, sand, and a vibrating compactor, roll of plastic membrane, PVC cement and PVC purple primer.
How to build your own putting green:
1. Clear the debris/dig out your existing lawn from your chosen location for the artificial putting green. This should be where water does not accumulate and is well drained, lay a 4″ gravel base.
2. Cover the gravel base with sand and run the vibrating compactor over it. Landscape fabric/plastic membrane is rolled out over the entire surface area of the artificial putting green. Putting greens are finished better when there is an edging around the perimeter of the green.
3. Lay down the artificial turf strip on the firm surface.
4. Contours and hills are added using additional base material (sand).
5. Roll out the artificial turf over the base, use a sharp knife to cut around the perimeter and when joining the rolls of turf.
6. Mark and install 2/3 cups, the standard cup size is 4.25″ diameter.
What is the average cost for installing an artificial putting green? Synthetic greens in Ireland can cost from €72 – €59 per square metere for the materials and turf and a further €35 – €50 per square metre for installation. In total you should budget for €120 per square metre.
Designing Putting Greens:
Garden Golf (www.minigolf.ie/garden-golf-page.html) or any good supplier of artificial turf will be able to design your artificial putting green for you. The size and shape of the green will depend on your existing lawn and on the number of holes you wish to install. Designing depends on location, turf, contour/cup location and lighting. Factors influencing design include the customer’s preference – is it for putting only or for chipping and putting?
An artificial putting green will add value to your property and will also lower your handicap as well as improving the aesthetic look of your garden not to mention less maintenance.
The advent of artificial turf, which is popular now in professional golf, marks a triumph for innovation and technology.
The advantages of having an artificial putting green are:
1. Artificial putting greens are a mix of technology and features of natural grass, they are durable, do not fade easily…
2. There is need no maintenance like mowing, watering or fertilizing.

4. Home putting greens are useful for practicing putting and chipping throughout the year.
There are two major types of putting green turf available on the market. The types of artificial turf available are nylon and polypropylene. Nylon turf is new to the market and has superior qualities to polypropylene turf. Unlike polypropylene turf, nylon turf needs less maintenance and no topdressing or an infill.
