Increases in globalization and technological innovation have been causing a large population of entrepreneurs to take advantage of business opportunities all over the world. Over the past 10 years, there has been an increase in foreign investment and a larger percentage of businesses being started and reorganized. Now that the wave has begun to slow, business opportunities are most likely found within socially oriented trends, like “going green.” The current climate is ideal for entrepreneurs to enter the green industry and take advantage of new, untouched opportunities. With the government support and the encouragement of society, green businesses will be able to offer cost effective products and services. We are in a time where eco-friendly businesses are valued by many and provide a needed resource.

There are a significant amount of resources currently available which were not available in the past, because of the internet. This is especially true for entrepreneurs who are interested in eco-friendly business opportunities. There are a number of websites that provide good sources for promoting environmentally friendly opportunities, like www.greenoppotrunities.org and www.environmentalleader.com and there are also articles from all over the world about certain environmental needs and ideas. The increase in social networking websites, like Facebook and Twitter, also allow for the ability to do fairly inexpensive industry and market research. There are also many books and magazines, which can be found in any bookstore, that focus on the opportunities available to green business owners and the unexplored industries that have room to be more environmentally friendly.

Using waste products to produce other saleable items offers a viable resource not thought of in the past. There are many waste products that can be recycled such as plastics, paper and cardboards as well as animal waste that can provide other products or can be used for energy production. Although we have found ways to recycle many of these products, there are many items that are taken directly to a landfill. The increased cost of fuel and energy, paired with the rising cost of disposal and a decrease in the land available for landfills, there are a large number of opportunities for creativity and innovation.  Services that can find ways to recycle these products or manufacturing facilities that find ways to use these products will have a definite advantage over their competitors. These untouched waste products are the perfect opportunity for entrepreneurs who want to find a new industry or market to start their business.

Although there is much competition over almost all markets of the world, consumers show a definite preference for environmentally friendly businesses. The majority of today’s consumers prefer to buy products that are eco-friendly, which creates a climate with a demand for eco-friendly businesses. Current statistics state that fifty percent of consumers imagined the green store would be more comfortable to shop at than the non-green alternative stores. The trend also includes consumers as employees wanting to benefit from the eco-friendly environment and the job security that these new business offer. Eighty one percent of employees in the United States would prefer working for a company that “has a good reputation for environmental responsibility.” This research depicts an atmosphere supported by a great number of consumers and employees, which is the healthiest possible condition for environmental businesses to quickly prosper and maintain success.

Consumer’s interest to be environmentally responsible also provides an incentive for corporations and governments to provide support for financing, investing, and cooperation. In the automobile industry the General Motors Company attempted to rebrand itself with a new design named “Volt” but Toyota is ahead of the game with their product the “Prius” which recently announced their new solar technology. Companies have the opportunity to apply to receive a variety of advantages from the government as well. There are grants, loans, and preferences currently available for green businesses. In April of 2009 on Earth Day, President Barack Obama declared that developing renewable energy is crucial and his administration will for the first time lease federal lands and waters for projects to generate electricity from wind and water.

There are many reasons to be a green entrepreneur, but most importantly the increasing trend is a solid base for a very successful business opportunity. Society has triggered the green movement, which has recently been supported by governments and is waiting for businesses to take advantage. With the available resources and support, environmental companies will be very cost-effective solutions that should last for a significant amount of time. Entrepreneurs should take advantage of these opportunities soon to be the first in their industry or market and get the full reward for their innovation an ability to follow the current trends.

Will Hydrogen Ever Be Developed Into an Effective Fuel?

August 28, 2010 by

Hydrogen is another source of fuel that can be used to power a car and other types of motorized vehicles. This includes wheelchairs, boats, submarines, cars, buses, tractors, motorbikes, trains, rockets, and aircraft. These vehicles can run on hydrogen as they convert its chemical energy into mechanical energy. This is done by burning hydrogen in an internal combustion engine or by reacting hydrogen and oxygen in a fuel cell which can then be used to generate electric motors. This makes hydrogen a very attractive type of alternative fuel in present world.

However, hydrogen is not considered to be a source of energy as it is not one of the natural elements of the earth. Instead, it is known as an energy carrier. In present day, hydrogen is developed from methane and other types of fossil fuels. But it can also be made from a variety of other sources such as solar, wind, and nuclear energy. At the moment, researchers are trying to develop ways to produce and deliver mass quantities of hydrogen so it can be utilized as a widely-used source of energy. However, they need to keep the costs down if it is going to be able to compete with traditional sources of fuel.

There are many companies and researchers around the world who are trying to develop and perfect technologies that would see hydrogen become a popular source of energy for mobile uses. These people would like to see hydrogen used as a fuel for various types of vehicles because if it is prepared without the input of fossil fuels, hydrogen will emit a lot less carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere of the earth. However, it does have a few drawbacks. These include low energy content per unit volume, very high storage tank weights, as well as the storage and transportation of the gaseous or liquid hydrogen.

As with most types of alternative fuel vehicles, the concept of hydrogen cars is being taken very seriously. Many manufacturers around the world are currently in the process of trying to come up with a reliable and low-costing hydrogen car. However, the Ford Motor Company has scrapped the idea as it plans to concentrate on the development of electric-driven cars. Renault-Nissan has also cancelled plans for researching and developing hydrogen autos. But on the other side of the coin, a lot of the major car manufacturers in the world are going full steam ahead with their plans to produce hydrogen-propelled vehicles.

The hydrogen cars that have been built are generally only available in demonstration form. They are not being made for general public use at the moment. But, private and government funding may see this change, especially in the U.S. There are a few hydrogen filling stations available in America, with most of them being located in the state of California.

But while hydrogen may be seen as a fuel of the future, many people are against its use as it still gives of greenhouse gases and is difficult to store and transport. The debate over hydrogen being introduced as a popular fuel may see the whole idea taking several years to develop, if it does at all.

Running Your Car On Water – Environmentally Effective?

August 11, 2010 by

Some people talk about environmental factors associated with being able to run cars on water. In fact, hydrogen cars are listed as being totally emission free. This is because the only emission they release is water vapor.

HHO gas is used to completely replace the fuel or to replace part of the fuel within a vehicle. HHO gas is created when water undergoes a particular type of chemical change and that occurs at the time when electricity is added.

The first thing to consider is how much does your car, with its current gasoline-based engine, emit into the atmosphere? It depends on your vehicle, but tons of green house gases which poisons humans and destroys the environment by increasing global warming, are constantly released into the atmosphere.

By adding a hydrogen generator to your current vehicle, you can cut gas usage by 50-100%. This means that you can add half a tank to a full tank of gas for each fill up!

It does not take long to install a conversion kit (or even make one yourself) if you want to try out the benefits for yourself, and you can easily remove it if it does not meet your expectations when assisting you in providing a cleaner environment. Some people ask why they should bother considering the huge amounts of money spent and how can one single vehicle make a difference?

This may be true. One single vehicle might not make a huge impact, but it can and if you notice the difference and tell a few people, they will try it and tell a few more people, creating an enormous chain effect. Many people believe that one person alone cannot make a difference to help the environment.

But one person can definitely open the way for others to follow and replicate the same practices to save energy and preserve our environment. In the meantime, you get to enjoy saving lots of money and greatly increase your gas mileage without using hardly any gas.

Options for running a car on water are becoming more and more popular, not just because of environmental factors but also for the cost saving elements that are bringing countless people onto the idea of using HHO gas and hydrogen generators in their cars. They are easy to install, they are inexpensive when compared to the savings that can be had from them, and they use a renewable source that can be found anywhere for free.

When taking this into consideration and then adding to it the environmental factors, it is little wonder why the running a car on water idea is becoming very popular. There are many people who may pass up this opportunity, even if they want to do something for the environment because they do not believe that they can make a difference. Even one individuals single impact is well worth it when it comes to preserving our environment.

Some Simple But Effective Automotive Maintenance Tips To Help Improve Your Gas Mileage

May 22, 2010 by

Your mileage has certainly become a much more interesting topic in recent times. This is not because folks have just developed a new love for auto mechanics; it has to do with how much of our monthly spend goes to gas. The price of gas is still near all time highs and does not show any signs of dropping low enough to really make a difference. I will give you a few tips that will help you maximize your gas mileage.

You can get better gas mileage by changing your oil at regular intervals. If you’ve been putting off this important chore indefinitely you’ve built a drain on your finances without knowing. Time is money. But the time spent on changing your oil is saved at the gas station. Always remember what you’re losing otherwise. This will motivate you to do your oils as frequently as necessary.
