What are the differences between the 2009 Ford Escape Hybrid vs the non hybrid?

Is the only difference the Hybrid part? Or are there any other differences such as safety?
I’m hoping to buy one soon and would really like to get a hybrid SUV to be eco-friendly but not sure I would save the $10,000 price difference between the hybrid & non-hybrid version in the long run.

How much better gas mileage do you get between regular and premium gasoline?

Oddly enough, gas prices have trippled but the difference has remained about 10 cents, or 5% between the different grades of fuel. At some point, it may be cheaper to buy the better grade because of the increased mileage.

What is Environmental impact between making a Hybrid Car and a Gas Car?

I am a newbie on hybrid cars.
So, please bear with me.
I know you don’t want to buy a hybrid car to save gas money. I know it would take more than 10 years in some case to save the difference buying a hybrid vs. a gas car.

Okay, so I am willing to spend extra $8,500 to buy 2007 Honda Hybrid over 2007 Honda DX.

However …

My concern is how Honda makes their hybrid and is it really sustainable? I have heard that making a hybrid car, maintaining, and disposing of it is more environmentally damaging than a gas car?

Is there any websites or studies to show what is the difference in environmental impact of hybrid vs. gas car?

I like to see details including transportation of the materials, labors, logistic issues, and emission level to make one car.

Am I asking too much?

What is the diference between “Green Car” and “reserved car” on the Shinkansen?

I am looking to travel around Japan via shinkansen. I have already traveled once by reserved car and was wondering what the difference was between that and the green car.

Primarily I’m wondering if there is more space?
