The Benefits you Can Find in a Green Tea Extract

You may have heard about the benefits of drinking green tea from multitude of websites and books dedicated to spreading the advantages of drinking green tea drinks, applying green tea lotion, using green tea soaps, and other green tea products. However, not much has been said about green tea extract.

What is a green tea extract? Green tea extract is simply the juice gathered from green tea leaves. Green tea extract contains healing properties from the tea leaves and green tea extraction simply means taking out these juice – as well as its healing properties – and subject these into a chemical form which is used in green tea pills, green tea dietary and health supplements, cosmetic and beauty or skin care products and many others.

Green tea extract is the primary ingredient in a fat burning pill. Green tea extracts helps with the body’s heat generation, or what we call thermogenesis, which is an important factor in the burning of body fats. Green tea extract promotes thermogenesis without affecting the heart rate. Green tea extract in fat burning pills and other weight loss supplements can help a person achieve a more fit physique without side effects such as jitters and LBM.

Another essential content in a green tea extract is bioflavanoids. Bioflavanoids help fight against the free radicals in our body that can cause diseases. Green tea extract also has EGCG which shields that body from any respiratory and digestive infections, and gets rid of carcinogens in the body which causes cancer.

Aside from weight loss benefits that products with green tea extract have, it also lowers hormonal activities which, in turn, decreases the production of acne. Green tea extract lowers cholesterol, helps lower high blood pressure and also stimulates the immune system that can help prevent periodontal diseases.

A recent study and research showed another important benefit of the green tea extract which is its ability to lower the chances of organ rejection in organ transplant patients. In the research rats that were induced to drinking developed damages in their livers. Some of these rats were consequently given green tea extracts for days. Results showed that these rats with green tea extract were able to adapt well to the new transplanted livers in their body.

Whatever your stand on animal testing and its viability on humans is, research and results of studies still give the same result: that green tea extract have promising benefits which could very well be the preventive solution to most of today’s health problems.

The Proven Benefits of Drinking Green Tea

There are numerous types of teas available all over the world. However, one of the most popular types is the green tea. This ubiquitous beverage in Japan comes from the Camellia sinesis leaves. Actually other popular teas, such as black and oolong, are also derived from the same plant. However, the difference among these three varieties lies on the processing. In order to get green tea, the leaves of Camellia sinesis are steamed before drying.

Why Is Green Tea So Popular?

As mentioned earlier, green tea has already been a staple in Japanese diet for quite a long time. The positive results of several studies on the benefits of green tea have propelled it to popularity in the West and the rest of the world. According to results of a research published in the Journal of National Cancer Institute in 1994, regular consumption of green tea helps in lowering the risk of esophageal cancer. Aside from cancer, some experts also found that certain substances found in the beverage aid in reducing overall cholesterol levels, while improving the ratio of the good versus bad cholesterol.

Experts believe that the catechin polyphenols are the ones that make green tea potent in soothing many illnesses and improving one’s overall health. One component, epigallocatechin gallate, is known to be a one-of-a-kind antioxidant that is responsible for preventing the growth of cancer cells, without harming the surrounding healthy tissues. This substance, which is known as EGCG for short, is also helpful in inhibiting blood clotting, which is the number one cause for strokes and heart attacks.

Even if black and oolong tea come from the same Camellia sinesis plant, green tea is considered healthier because ECGC is not oxidized in the process of steaming the leaves. Thus, the potency of ECGC is maintained. In contrast, the leaves of Camellia sinesis are fermented to make oolong and black teas. As a result, ECGC components of the plant are changed to other substances which are not as powerful in beating many diseases.

Benefits Of Green Tea

Aside from lowering the risks of developing certain cancers, green tea is also known to help stop the progressive cancer growths, according to the findings of the research done in the University of Purdue.

Scientists also found out that regular consumption of green tea has a substantial effect in a person’s blood pressure. It seems that substances in the beverage can suppress angiotensin II, which is believed to bring about high blood pressure.

The immune system also benefits from regular dose of green tea. Since this drink is rich in flavonoids and polyphenols, it can boost the immune system. It is a known fact that you need to have strong immune response in order to fight infections and a variety of other diseases.

A study headed by Dr Tariq Haqqi from Ohio’s Case Western Reserve University found that the polyphenols in green tea are helpful in preventing rheumatoid arthritis as well. Clinical tests showed that laboratory animals that were regularly given green tea polyphenols did not develop joint diseases.

But one of the top reasons why people from all corners of the world are clamoring for green tea -whether in tablet or concentrate form – is the finding that it can help boost weight loss. Research done by Japanese scientists found that green tea could help a person lose weight even without dieting or exercising. They have found that green tea increases thermogenesis, or the conversion of stored fat into energy. At the same time, components in green tea also speed up metabolism.

Since green tea is a natural diuretic, people who are having problems with weight gain caused by water retention can also benefit from either drinking several cups of green tea or taking supplements that contain substantial amounts of green tea. One product that contains green tea extract and is specifically designed to help alleviate water retention is Expelis. If you want to know more about this product, visit http://www.expelis.com/.

The Antioxidants in Greens are One of the Many Benefits of Greens

It’s the talk of the town everywhere these days. It now seems more people are looking for ways to extend their life span. The majority of people lead busy lives and struggle to still to find the time to exercise and try to eat right. Nevertheless, the term antioxidant is no longer a foreign term to most people.

Antioxidant greens are a vital element in the prevention of free radicals that can lead to cellular genetic damage. Think about dry wrinkled skin for a moment. What you are seeing is the damage done by free radicals.

The many benefits of greens to everyone’s health can be seen by examining the contents inside them. Just take a look at what’s inside this so called miracle food and you will likely be amazed at what’s inside.

Free radicals can not only cause your skin to appear prematurely aged, they can also contribute to more serious problems such as cancer, arthritis, heart disease and diabetes.

When a persons free radicals are at a minimum, a person will age more slowly. When a persons life lifestyle is out of control and full of stress, a person will tend to age more quickly. And when there is an excessive amount of free radicals within our bodies, we actually increase our chances for becoming sick, as in disease.

So just what are these greens all about anyway and how do they help promote good health? If you are sill wondering why greens are good for your health consider the fact that antioxidants have disease fighting properties that protect cells from damage by substances called free radicals. Antioxidants are able to do this by neutralizing free radicals that are formed when body cells burn oxygen for energy.

Antioxidants may also help keep the immune system healthy and reduce the risk for cancer and other diseases.

The antioxidants in greens are one of the many benefits of greens and are scientifically developed and tested. They were designed to contain the most powerful green foods that your body needs for optimal health.

So when people are not able to eat a wholesome organic diet that is filled with nutritious fruits and vegetables, these superfoods are the next best thing for many who just don’t have the time to eat all of the fresh fruits and vegetables they really should be eating.

There are many variations of these superfoods, as they are sometimes referred to. If you are looking for a premium superfood, keep in mind that a good greens drink product will not contain any fillers of any kind and will most certainly contain natural high quality ingredients that are going to be the most beneficial to your nutritional consumption.

Greens were developed as a way for people to get the proper nutrition that they fail to get on their own. They are green in color and they typically come in different flavors such as mint or berry.

The benefits of greens to your health are many. But a very important benefit is the fact that many do not contain any additives such as soy, wheat, dairy, or preservatives, all of which can be harmful to some. They are also great for those who have a weakened immune system because they help aid digestion and contain probiotics which help with a healthy intestinal flora.

Other benefits of these superfoods include the following:

Alkalizes your body: By alkalizing your body, you are helping your body to better ward off infections or diseases.

Balances your PH: By balancing your PH, your body is much more able to work efficiently.

Energy: Many people believe that by getting proper nutrition, they just feel better. The more nutrients a person consumes, the better they will likely feel. What Are The benefits of greens to your health? The answer is quite simple and the answer is phytonutrients.

Lose Weight: Greens have been known to help many shed weight. Greens are known to help curb cravings for unhealthy food because they not only fill people up, they provide a great deal of nutrients.

Greens are also safe to use with prescriptions, which make them even more popular.

Let’s face it, many of us try to get all of the recommended vegetable and fruit servings. But with even the best of anyone’s intentions, very few individuals are ever able to get the allotted amount each and every day. Busy schedules usually prevent our good intentions which is why these superfoods are an important natural health supplementation to anyone’s diet.

When searching for greens, look for something that is not only nutritious, but great tasting, easy to mix, and always look for certified organic whole food and plant extracts, which are the most beneficial to your good health.

Another helpful tip to find the best superfood is to consider how much antioxidant power you are rally getting. Some superfoods contain a very small amount of antioxidants. Look for a number that equals the antioxidant power equal to 20 servings of fruits and vegetables in every serving.

Most health conscious consumers would agree that the antioxidants contained within organic green plants are well worth the benefits. Free radicals can damage cells and lead to disease and greens help prevent the damage brought on by free radicals.

Other great benefits to taking greens are the super blend of vitamins, digestive enzymes, natural food concentrates, and symbiotic intestinal flora that provide maximum energy.

Greens have also been known to help improve a persons weight management as they help increase metabolism through increased fat burning. It does not take long for many to see the positive results that these superfoods have such as a reduction in food cravings.

New Green Tea Benefits

September 30, 2010 by

You’ve probably been hearing for a while now, about green tea, and how good it can be for your health. And, if you are like me, maybe you have started adding some to your daily routine, just for good measure. But, do you want to hear some of the new green tea benefits?

First, let’s start with some of the stuff you might already know about green tea health benefits.

Green tea has been used in China for thousands of years, as an integral part of traditional Chinese medicine. It has been used to treat aches and pains, headaches, gastrointestinal disorders, and even depression. It has been used more recently to help protect against certain types of cancer. Green tea not only helps protect against some cancers, but it can also help inhibit the spread of cancer, while sparing the healthy tissue nearby.

Most of the green tea benefits come from chemicals called polyphenols (catechins), especially epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), which is a powerful antioxidant. This antioxidant, and the fact that green tea contains vitamin E, another strong antioxidant, makes it invaluable as an anti aging product, and an immune booster, too.

But here is the stuff you’ve been waiting for…some new green tea benefits

Heart Help
Green tea can help your heart in a few different ways. It can help decrease the LDL (bad) cholesterol levels, high blood pressure, and the risk of strokes, along with helping to treat atherosclerosis, or “hardening of the arteries”.

Weight Loss
Green tea benefits weight loss plans in a couple of different ways. First, studies at the University of Geneva showed that those who consumed green tea were more likely to use up fats as energy, than those who didn’t. Other studies showed that the catechins delayed the actions of stomach and pancreatic enzymes, which are responsible for the digestion of fats. Lastly, green tea is also thought to promote weight loss by “thermogenesis”. This basically means that it helps increase the body’s core temperature to help burn more calories, by speeding up the metabolism.

Other Uses
There are currently other green tea health benefits being studied worldwide. Some of them include assistance with diabetes, liver disease, skin cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease, just to name a few.

But, how many cups of tea do you have to drink to get these great green tea benefits? For those that like to drink tea, you would need to drink about 5 cups of tea per day. The downfall to this is the caffeine content. While the amount of caffeine in green tea is not as high as coffee or soda, it can still cause some difficulty falling asleep. But there is another solution.

The same green tea benefits can be found in green tea extract. If you can find a supplement that not only has green tea in it, but also contains vitamins, minerals, and other beneficial nutrients, you can get the most health support for your money.

Plumber Benefits from Green Energy Courses

Plumbing company Micaul Solar has said that plumbers can reap the rewards of taking green energy courses due to the potential profits in the renewable sector.

Mike Dowell, co-owner of the Welsh plumbing firm, told Heating & Plumbing Monthly that his business is benefiting from increased trade since it become qualified to install renewable heat technology.

An increasing number of people are interested in green technology such as air and ground source heat pumps, biomass boilers, solar-thermal water heaters and combined heat and power plants.

Mike Dowell and his brother-in-law Paul Hoddinott initially took plumbing courses in order to create a new business but realised it was vital to learn from green energy courses as more people would be keen on environmentally-friendly equipment.

Micaul Solar became the first plumbing company in Wales to be Microgeneration Accredited and Mr Dowell feels this gave them a crucial advantage over their local competitors.

He told Heating & Plumbing Monthly: “Back in 2005 we started to look at renewables seriously and we did probably the complete opposite to everyone else and spent a lot of time studying.

“We … started undertaking product training and doing all of the things we felt necessary to support the market – our investment and efforts have paid off and we are now extremely busy.”

Mr Dowell is now advising plumbers and people taking plumbing courses to follow his lead and update their skills by enrolling on green energy courses.

Micaul Solar saw a dramatic increase in their business between 2007 and 2008 and they now have a workforce of 20 people including fully qualified heating engineers who have completed the appropriate gas training courses, plumbing courses and green energy courses.

Mike Dowell explained that his decision to change career and take plumbing courses in order to become a qualified tradesperson has resulted in great success and lead to many benefits.

Green energy courses may increase in demand as government plans for loans that will enable householders to fund energy efficiency measures such as insulation and renewable technology were revealed recently.

The Pay As You Save (PAYS) scheme, which ties the financing to property rather than people, forms a key part of the government’s Household Energy Management (HEMS) strategy, Warm Homes, Greener Homes, which aims to reduce carbon emissions.

Pilot schemes are already being tested in Birmingham, Sussex, Surrey, Sutton and Stroud; however, legislation will need to be introduced before PAYS can be implemented.

Able Skills have opened an Energy Saving Training Centre to provide the necessary approved training through green energy courses, plumbing courses and electrical courses.

Tax Credits And Benefits For Hybrid Car Owners

You might be wondering what tax incentives you are entitled to as a hybrid car owner. Do these incentives really make the hybrid vehicle worth its price tag? In the long run, do hybrid cars become cheaper to own? What about using hybrid vehicles on HOV lanes?

Beginning January 2006, an according to the Energy Policy Act, the government began awarding major tax credits to consumers who buy hybrid cars.

Tax credits are usually much more valuable than a tax deduction. Tax credits reduce tax amount dollar-for-dollar. On the other hand, a tax deduction will only remove a percentage of the taxes you may owe. Hybrid owners can itemize purchases on federal income tax forms, which in turn lower the total tax amount owed to the federal government.

Fact: hybrid vehicles carry a higher price tag than that of conventional gas engine vehicles. The reason lies with their costly batteries and because the hybrid vehicle has not one, but two separate engine beneath the vehicles. Despite this, tax credits do much to offset the cost of owning a hybrid car.

Plug-In Hybrids

Car buyers who purchase new gas-electric cars were eligible for over $3,000 in federal tax credits. However, these tax credits applied to the first 60,000 hybrid vehicles cars that could be sold by a single automobile manufacturer. You had to act early to benefit from these tax advantages. Business and private hybrid owners or lessees are eligible for income tax credits for gas electric hybrid vehicles that are placed in service starting January 1, 2006 and bought on or before December 31, 2010.

The amounts of tax credits for hybrid vehicles are based on fuel economy improvements when compares to conventional vehicles in the same class of car or truck. Therefore, hybrid car owners with the highest fuel efficiency receive the largest tax credits for their vehicles.

The Benefits Of Owning And Driving A Truck Or SUV And Get Good Fuel Efficiency With The New Hybrids

September 2, 2010 by

Depending on how old you are, you may remember the good old days, when you pulled into a gas station and someone came outside to help you. There you sat, comfortably behind the wheel, while the gas attendant filled your car with gas, (requested by gallons and not dollars), checked your oil, cleaned your windshield and thanked you for your patronage. You never worried about what type of weather it was, because you didn’t have to get out of the car to pump your gas. The attendant did it for you, so your clothes would stay as fresh as they were when you left the house. You could fill up your tank, hand over a ten dollar bill and actually get change back.

Unfortunately for everyone, those days are over. Now you sit in line behind other harried customers at the gas station and have to get out of the car, go inside to pay for the gas if you don’t want to use your credit card, then come back out and pump the gas yourself. Now people no longer say they want ten gallons of gas. That’s been changed to ten dollars worth of gas, if you please, and you clean your own windshields and check your own oil. Hopefully you won’t drip gas on your clothes or stain your hands when checking the oil level in your car.

When SUVs came on the market, it seemed like everyone just had to have one. Thanks to the cool commercials showing drivers zipping through Arctic weather or driving over treacherous terrain, they seemed just too cool to pass up. It became a status symbol to drive one, even though many of those who bought them lived in the suburbs where there was no danger of rough terrains and unpaved roads.

Now that the cost of gas has skyrocketed, many of those same people that drove their SUVs home from the dealership with a huge grin on their face, are now sobbing when its time to go to the gas station. These gas guzzlers now put a huge dent in their paychecks and no longer seem as attractive as they once did.

SUV and truck manufacturers recognized the need to produce vehicles that did not consume so much of the owner’s salary just to fuel it. They have come out with a line of Hybrid SUVs and trucks that are just as attractive as the other models but much more fuel efficient. Ford has presented the Escape Hybrid, Lexus is competing with its RX400 and Toyota has come out with its Highlander Models.

If you still want to drive an SUV, but not worry about the potential of filing for bankruptcy due to expensive fueling, then consider one of the Hybrid SUVs and trucks on the market. Your wallet will thank you.
