Cash for Clunkers in my area

November 24, 2010 by

So after seeing what was going on online, I decided to take a drive to my local auto row. What I discovered, was that only the Honda, Hyundai and Kia had a number of Cash for Clunkers cars. I went to both the Ford and Chevy, Ford had a couple, but I was not able to get into the gated area, and the Chevy Lot had zero. What does this say about our government program desinged to: Lower green house gases Increase gas mileage Spur the auto industry… What do I think? How much energy (translated to greenhouse gases) will it take to recycle/crush all the cars traded in? The fuel mileage increase will be negligable, based on cars on the road vs cars traded in. It apears to be spuring the Foreign makes more than our own. FAIL
