ABC News-Go Green : Eat less Beef

category: Going Green

I was so happy to see mainstream media is finally getting a clue. This news report on ABC suggests you cut back on eating meat by 20% or more to help the environment. It’s true that that will help, but even better would be to go vegan and not only save the environment but save lives. In fact one of the lives’ you save may be your own! Go vegan for the environment, the animals and your own health. It’s the right thing to do. :-)

@TARDEDCHANNELCOPIER You spammed everywhere on the Global warming videos on your clone Nightversionn, saying the National Geographic video “Global Warming 101″ was shut down.
    Its not Freak!

@TARDEDCHANNELCOPIER Actually, I read about people getting stomach cancer in Britain FROM the veggies they consumed.
And if your “claim” is right, then why aren’t tribes who are mostly carnivorous filled with cancer patients? Just proved you wrong there ;)

Thats completely false. A Universtity in California did a study and found out that it turns out to be less than 3%. The UN later came out and said they added all the transportation costs that it had not done on other products. In other words they skewed the results in the Vegans Favor

Interesting, Those animals are feed on hormones and steroids for quick growth and massive size..We all know what steroid do to the body!! You eat that shit!! When you cook your meat you destroy your vitamin B12 that you love to brag about.. Your illnesses are unreal… you will not see vegans with all those heart problems, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, constant joint replacement etc.. Being a vegan, you would live a healthy, longer life with good teeth and bones!! eat properly – GO VEGAN!

The story is from ABC news but I doubt you will find much of value there. There are lots of reasons to not eat red meat. Some of which are the environment, health and animal welfare. Even the UN has recognized the negative effect beef production has on the environment. If you want websites where you can find more info then message me and I will be happy to help.

Could you give me the website where I could find more information on this story?I’m doing a speech on why everyone should eat less red meat for one of my courses this semester.

All major TV should be showing this. Good for ABC for telling the truth in the midst of the misleading ads who pay their salaries. May God bless them.
Reducing meat and diary (and eggs) we would be healthier spiritually and physically, we would help world hunger, help the environment and save the intense suffering of billions of animals.

Actually, Broccoli has more Calcium than a glass of milk… So, if people don’t like soy, then just eat broccoli.

  22. 21lax on July 23rd, 2010 2:22 am

well then fuck the environment, i aint givin up my beef.

  23. SaganAppreciationSoc on July 23rd, 2010 2:51 am

If reducing meat intake helps a little, wouldn’t eliminating meat help *more*? It’s a no-brainer, but the media won’t take it to its logical conclusion.

Just to let you ALL know. Soy bean have same amount of Calcium than cow milk.

Cows get it from teh grass and the grass get it from the ground.
Soy bean gets it directly from the ground so we consume it directly we get better benefits but skipping the middle man (the cow) and drinking soy bean milk DIRECTLY
