That is an interesting looking project. I often have folks who ask me about 'trailer' type arrangements like this. I'll bet you could do amazing things to reduce weight with the 'skin and bones' construction technique discribed in the video responce I posted. Good luck with it. That's a pretty cool deal!

Videocamper, The Explorer Box is tailored to folks driving compact, fuel effficient vehicles. With minimal room in your tow vehicle, a rolling "Chuck Box" expands your available space, so you have room for camping adventures.

Vidoecamper, The Explorer Box has been designed with a corner block building method. This method is different from the frame-of-reference related to building a house. In building a house, your framing is the main structural element, in this method the plywood panels are. Their purpose is to provide sufficient meat in the corners for a structurally sound joint between the panels.

Using this method it's easy to build to an Explorer Box that weights under 400 lbs

FixedByDoc, Thanks. An Explorer Box would be nice if you lived a nomadic livestyle. Could even lengthen the tongue and tow it with horses if you wanted to :o)
