    @ekuwa69 that $49,000 price tag for the model s is after tax incentives, this is before for $45,000 so its actuall price may be as low as $35,000. Expensive for that kind of performance, but hey it is viable electric.

    Ewww, looks like a ’90s Hyundai.

    @mre2u2 the version of the Tesla model S that costs that much only has a 160 mile range. You have to add 10 grand for the 300 mile version. Either way though, it’s way better than this piece of crap.

    80mph top speed (why limited?) 120 mile max range? Not even a viable challenger for Tesla. On top of that (per their website) the US components of the car are only 35% (WTF??) Unimpressive, looks like a cheap Kia. $45,ooo????? Same price as the 7 passenger Tesla S model with TWICE the range of this little joke. FAIL

    Nice, but the design of the car looks like it’s from the 90′s

    Does the car have air-conditioning? Seem like it would be a drain on the battery if one has to run air-conditioning on it, too.

    @Libertyguy09
    True, especially if they keep building these cars in China, like Coda. GM will build the Volt in America and Toyota/Honda/Nissan build theirs in Japan, two countries with per capita income above $30,000. Tesla isn’t going anywhere because they build in the US. The future lies in the hands of the Chinese and… Wal-Mart. Save China and support Chinese jobs. Buy a Coda car. Che-che.

    Coda Electric Car makers….Do NOT allow your company to go on Wall Street. A Big Oil Company will come along and buy a majority stock of your company and then SQUASH it like an annoying mosquito. Just saying that is what happened to all the other electric car technologies that have come and gone. Even the Hydrogen fuel cell vehicles have gone POOF!

    I agree with everything you say, they will
    need fuel but a very limited amount. The smaller companies like Tesla don’t have
    a chance the big players will squash them.

    maybe, but I believe this will take off!!!

    For years the big three have been in collusion with the oil companies which is why none of the 3 have yielded an all-electric car. Hybrids are not the answer. You still need gasoline to run those hybrids.

    The cars of tomorrow will come NOT from the big 3 automakers, but from small companies like CODA, Phoenix Motorcars and Tesla
